| Heidi Turner explains, "I was on my way to work, it was raining and my car hydroplaned on a curve. I lost control of my car, hit a large metal fence and post, then my car flipped approximately two times. Because I was wearing my seat belt, I remained in my car and I was able to undo my belt and crawl out of my window. I walked away with only a mild concussion, cuts, and bruises. If I had not been wearing my seat belt, I know I would not have been in the same condition...everything that was in my car including my backpack and purse had flown out the windows of my car and were found several feet away. After this accident, I cannot even describe how strongly I feel about seat belt safety." | |

According to Diane Nanneman, event coordinator with the Northeast Coalition for Roadway Safety, “The youngsters visited the Arrive Alive booth and pledged to buckle up and Arrive Alive. When parents buckle a child when they are young, it will become a habit for life. It is one habit a parent can pass on to a child that costs nothing and could possibly save their life. The KISS rock stars would like to remind parents to “KISS (Kids in Safety Seats) every trip, every time.
